In July 2021, not to be stopped by Covid-19 and following the Government Statutory Guidance, the children performed a number of pieces of music. Working with the Lincolnshire Music Service, parents enjoyed drumming, claves, singing and rhythmic poetry.
In October 2018, our year 4 pupils took part in the Sonophilia project. This culminated in a musical performance, alongside other schools, at Lincoln Cathedral. It was a great opportunity for the children to experience the atmosphere of performing in a very special place.
Here are some pictures from our December 2018 Music Concert. As well as the whole school singing the songs that they had learned, our musicians also did some solo performances.
Ruby class have done a World Drumming unit of work. They started with samba, where they created some great rhythms.
They also did some work with Djembe drums.
This culminated in a presentation to parents linked to the Rainforest topic, where the pupils also performed a dance inspired by life in the rainforests.
