Principal’s Welcome

About Us

The Marton Academy is a school where individuals are valued and helped to achieve their personal best. Children are supported in becoming confident and independent young people, who thrive on challenge, and are motivated to learn. All schools have their own distinctive ‘feel’ which makes each one unique. We believe that the ‘special feel’ at The Marton Academy comes from our caring, supportive and friendly environment. Being a small village primary school, we have a unique opportunity to see every child as an individual and provide a personalised, happy and stimulating learning environment in which every child succeeds.

Our recent Ofsted inspection included this comment from the lead inspector:

‘Parents and carers are overwhelmingly positive about the school. One parent, typical of many, said, “The school is so homely and welcoming. It is a central part of the community”. Parents appreciate the fact that staff are supportive and nurturing. They like that staff encourage such a love of learning.’

I am extremely proud to lead a team that is committed to children’s well-being, achieving high standards and providing the very best opportunities for all in our care. Staff, supported by The Forge Trust, work hard to deliver a rich and challenging curriculum; to prepare children for future education; and to help them acquire the skills and enthusiasm needed to embrace the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life. Pupils leave the Marton Academy in a very strong position – pupil’s academic attainment throughout school is outstanding.

I really hope you find this website informative. Additionally, I would be thrilled to show you around our beautiful school, where you can meet our wonderful pupils and see what we have to offer.
