Environment & Information

Marton is a rural village to the west of the City of Lincoln on the A1500 towards Gainsborough. Marton is a small community with local shop, pub, village hall with playing fields, bowling green, children’s play area and 5km Heritage Trail created by the school pupils.

The school, built in 1962, has four classrooms, hall, library, woodland, an adventure trail, climbing wall, extensive grounds plus a range of other facilities to enable independent learning to develop, including iPads and IT work stations. Each of the four classrooms have direct access to an outdoor learning space as well as the school field.

The school catchment includes surrounding local villages and hamlets, including Gate Burton, Torksey, Brampton, Fenton, Knaith, Kexby, Upton, Lea, Stow, Sturton-by-Stow, and Gainsborough.
