Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea
We came together this afternoon to reward and thank all the mums for the amazing jobs that they do. Thank you everyone for the donations of cakes and to the dads that volunteered to help us run the event.
World Book Day
We all came together today to celebrate our love of books. The theme for dressing up was bedtime stories and pyjamas. It was great to take part in so many great activities linked to inspirational authors.
Year 5/6 trip to Magna Science Museum
Year 5/6 visited Magna Science Museum to embed their learning about ‘light’ that they had done in school. They found the whole facility of Magna incredible and learnt more about refraction and reflection in a special workshop.
Year 3/4 residential at Rand Farm
Year 3/4 visited Rand Farm overnight – this was the first residential that we had ever run for lower KS2! They had a fantastic time feeding the animals and partaking in farm jobs. For some children, it was their first time being away from their parents overnight, so they did amazingly well!
Year 5/6 substance awareness workshop
Year 5/6 have taken part in a workshop on alcohol and substance awareness. It was both informative and great fun – trying on the beer goggles was quite a sobering experience for all!
Road Safety Day
Nursery to Year 4 have had the expert advice of Mrs Street (from Lincolnshire Staying Safe) today to discuss road safety. As ever, it was highly informative and engaging – great life skills too!
Young Voices 2023
Mrs Castelluccio and Mrs Lucking took a group of Key Stage Two pupils to the incredible Young Voices event at Sheffield Motorpoint Arena. Fantastic singing and dancing everyone.
Nativity 2022
Nursery, Reception and Year 1/2 have done a wonderful job of their nativity. It really does feel like Christmas when we hit nativity time, and we are incredibly proud of the way in which the children learnt their lines and performed to an audience of delighted family members.
Christmas Experience at Rand Farm
Nursery, Reception and Year 1/2 have visited Rand Farm for their Christmas Experience. They were fortunate enough to spend the day with the animals, have tractor rides and even visit Father Christmas – what a terrific school trip!
Christmas Service 2022
Our annual Christmas Service took place at Gate Burton Church and was led by Reverend Wain. It was wonderful to be able to share this occasion with so many parents. What a wonderful way to start the Advent period.
